Independent Project One Proposal:
1. For this project I chose Lo Fi. Lo Fi is "any process which fails to achieve the accuracy and refers to unconventional photographic practices, chosen for aesthetics, which give an impression of low quality". There is a black boarder around the image and the quality is low. Its the opposite of Hi fi.
2. I am going to shoot this project by setting my cameras effects to something called 'toy effect'. It gives that lo fi effect that I need for this project. I will try not to point the camera towards the light source but I may try it and see how it looks. I will most likely be outside for the majority of this project.
3. I don't really need anything specific for this type of project besides a light source. Just daytime is needed and an object/subject.
4. I will most likely be outside for this project. I can go to a grass field, forest, etc. I could shoot stuff in my room but I'd rather go outside. Maybe a lake, river or tingly beach would be ideal.
5. I wanted to try this type of photography because I've always looked at this type of project and I thought it would be hard to do and I didn't know how to do it. This year I have managed to get lo fi photos and they came out just fine. Im still working on the effect and its coming out good so far. I wanted to try something new.
Independent Project Two Proposal:
1. The type of photography I will be working with is based at a museum. The museum is called The Gutierrez Hubbell House. It has a lot of rich culture and historic background. It goes back to the 1700s or 1800s. Bernalillo County bought the museum in the 2000s to save it. I will be getting a tour from an owner/worker of the museum and I will capture pictures of the outdoor scene and indoor scene. There is a lot of plants and theres an acequia in the back of the Hubbell House.
2. I will shoot these images while I am getting a tour by a worker. I will be inside and outside.
3. I don't need anything specific for this project. I just need to be the museum.
4. I will be at The Gutierrez Hubbell House for this project. It is down Isleta and it has a historical land maker and there is a sign that says The Gutierrez Hubbell House.
5. I thought it would be a simple project to do. I am going to the Hubbell House for a field day for my Eco Biology class. We deal with environmental ideas, actions, etc.
Independent Project Three Proposal:
1. The type of photography I will be working with will be based in the Rio Grande/Bosque. The Rio Grande is a big part of New Mexico as well as the Bosque. I will be outside for the whole thing. There are a lot of trees and the great thing about this project is that the leaves are in the process of changing colors.
2. I will shoot these images while walking around the Bosque and along the Rio Grande. I will observe a lot of the scenery.
3. I do not need anything specific for this project besides walking shoes because I will be walking a lot.
4. I will be surrounded by trees and by a river for this project. I will be by Tingley Beach and I will possibly walk over there.
5. I chose this project because I like to be outside and the leaves are changing around this time of year. The colors are really pretty.
Independent Project Four Proposal:
1. The type of photography I will be working with is based in Socorro. I will be in Socorro on a Saturday for a college event. Socorro is a small little town and the college is called New Mexico Tech and its all about STEM. Socorro is surrounded by mountains. They have a tradition of painting an M at the top of the hill and the M stands for Miners. There will be a tour around tech and I will go to the mountain where they paint the M.
2. I will shoot these images while I am getting the tour from one of the students at Tech. I will be outside and inside.
3. I don't need anything besides my camera.
4. I will be at New Mexico Tech in Socorro for this project. Socorro is only an hour and about a half away from Albuquerque. So its not too far of a drive.
5. I thought since Im going somewhere Ive never been I could shoot some good pictures and use them as a project. Plus I would have memories from the first time I went to my dream college.
Independent Project Five Proposal:
1. The type of photography I will be working with is called advanced lighting. It deals with a lot of lighting. I will use string lights, a color changing light bulb, and my LED mask. I will possibly find other types of light sources to use.
2. I will be shooting these images in my room. I will use a backdrop which will be black or brown. I will have my camera on a tripod and it will be at eye level with me for the most part. Some of the images will be self portraits and some will be portraits of other people then maybe some with no people in the image.
3. I will need backdrops, a tripod, lights and my camera for this project.
4. I will be in my room for this project. My room will be dark with a small light source.
5. I want to try doing this project because I thought it would be fun to work with a small light source and maybe get some portraits. I remember doing this project in photo two but it wasn't supposed to be a part of a certain project but I did it anyways because I already had it done. I had fun doing that project so I thought I would give it another go this year.
Independent Project Six Proposal:
1. For this project I chose black and white photography. I will be focusing on portraits (i.e humans and animals). Black and white photography is just as it sounds/it has no color. I can use a filter that is on my camera or I can just turn them black and white in photoshop.
2. I will be having my boyfriends family be my subjects. I will break his family down into three separate families (his grandparents and their kids, his mom and her kids, and his auntie and her family). I will likely use my family but they probably won't want to. I will also use animals for my photography. I will use the outdoors as a background.
3. All I need is my boyfriends family and my pets and maybe his pet.
4. I will more than likely be outside at my boyfriends house for this project. Maybe have them go to the park. Or even have them stay inside and just get backdrops.
5. I would like to try black and white photography and focus on human/animal portraits because Im not really into taking pictures of other people so I thought I could try and get out of that habit of only taking pictures of inanimate objects and portraits of myself.
Independent Project Seven Proposal:
1. For this project I chose to do deconstructed landscapes. Deconstructed landscapes are where you take multiple fragments of images and combining them into a collage. I will take pictures of anything that catches my eye. The images will be small and the same size as each other.
2. I am going to shoot them close up. I will be using multiple angles and shot types. Some will be close ups, birds eye view, worms eye view, etc.
3. I don't really need anything specific for this project. Just a landscape and my camera.
4. I will be outside for this project. Maybe my back yard, the bosque, an animal refuge or somewhere there is a good scenery. I just need somewhere where there are a lot of trees, plants or rocks. Anything land scape will be good.
5. I wanted to try this type of project because it seemed interesting. I looked up photography ideas and this popped up so I decided that I want to try it. Plus I like going outside for my photographs.
Independent Project Eight Proposal:
1. For this project I will be doing Still Lifes. With still lifes you just put random objects together and take pictures. I try and make it match.
2. I will pt objects into this miniature black box and take the pictures. I will also have lights set up around the box. They will create shadows on one side of the object. There will be close ups and extreme close ups.
3. I don't need anything specific for this project besides a light, camera, a miniature black box and objects.
4. I will be in my room for these images. The room will be completely dark.
5. I wanted to try this project because I wanted to give it a go again. Maybe I can increase my knowledge and techniques.
Independent Project Nine Proposal:
1. For this project I am going o be working with silhouettes. Silhouette photography is defined as a view of an object or a scene consisting of the outline and a featureless interior, with the silhouetted object usually being black.
2. I will more than likely be outside for this project. I will use the sun to create the silhouettes. I might use lights in a room to create a silhouette also. I will also be taking portrait photos and other subjects.
3. I just need a light source and a subject. The light source will be to create the silhouette.
4. I will be inside my room and outside at a park or at a house for this project.
5. I have been seeing this project for a while and Ive never tried this kind of photography. It seemed interesting.
Independent Project Ten Proposal:
1. For my next project I chose to take pictures of animals. This project is going to be revolving around animals.
2. I will shoot these images just like any other image. I will use certain shot types and angles.
3. I do not need anything specific. Just my camera and my tripod.
4. I will be in my house, backyard, my boyfriends house, the zoo/aquarium and possibly the shelter. I have pets that I can take pictures of, my boyfriend has a dog, the zoo/aquarium has animals and so does the shelter.
5. I wanted to try this project because I love animals and they're good subject for pictures because they don't care. Plus this idea is easy.
Independent Project Eleven Proposal:
1. For this project I chose to do Flower and Plant photography. I basically just pictures of plant and flowers.
2. For these images I will have mainly close ups of the plants/flowers. This will show the viewer the small details of a plant or flower. Maybe I will throw in a little other views (worms eye, birds eye, etc).
3. I do not need anything specific for this project.
4. I will be outside for almost all these photos. The only ones that will be inside will be of my plants that are in my room. All the rest will be outside plants/flowers. I can go to my backyard or front yard for these images. Also the zoo and Gutierrez Hubbell House which is located on Isleta.
5. I just really love plants and flowers so I thought it would be fun to do this project. Plus this might be the last project you give us for this year. I can end this year with flower/plant photography.
